Sixth annual Inspiration Event
will recognize healthcare
professionals and caregivers
The Huron Perth Area Providers
Council Healthcare Human Resources
Subcommittee has organized its sixth
Inspiration Event to recognize our out-
standing healthcare professionals and
caregivers.
On Tues., May 27, officials from across
both counties will gather with candi-
dates who have been nominated. The
event will be held at the Zurich Mennon-
ite Church. The doors open at 6:00 p.m.
with dinner at 7:00 p.m. with the pro-
gram to follow.
Nominations have been collected for
those who have shown accomplish-
ments, dedication and commitment to
their profession. Nominations were
made in the following categories: Rookie
of the Year, Quality in Service, Most Val-
uable Player, Team, Inter Occupational
Work, Life Time Achievement, Youth
Engagement, and the Inspiration! This
event will provide our communities the
opportunity to honour these individuals
who give so much.
Applications have also been received
from post -secondary students from
across both Huron and Perth for the
Huron Perth Area Providers Table
scholarship.
The two scholarship recipients will be
presented with their scholarship at the
Inspiration Event. The applicants were
judged on their essay that outlined their
past accomplishments in their commu-
nity and healthcare field, their present
achievements in their education and
healthcare related goals, and their future
goals and ambitions as they related to
their community and healthcare.

Perth Area Provider Table, Medical Phar-
macies Group Limited, MediSystem
Pharmacy, and Horizon ProResp are
pleased to be sponsors for this wonder-
ful event. Everyone that is nominated
will be recognized for their contribution
to their role in providing quality health-
care service to our communities.
Distinguished presenters and partici-
pation will be recognized from provin-
cial and municipal government, and
healthcare officials. The time to honour
our healthcare workforce is every time
we need them, this is an event to show
we need them all.

FACADE GRANT PROGRAM
The Municipality of Central Huron is pleased to announce their annual Central
Huron Facade Grant Program. The Program includes fagade improvements
for properties in Central Huron that are assessed as Commercial for taxation
purposes. The Municipality has set aside funds to assist property owners in
the expansion or improvement of the building facade or signage.
The proposed facade improvement must meet the specific property criteria
outlined in the "Facade Improvement Concept" and enhance the "cosmetic"
appeal of the structure from a streetscape viewpoint.

Applications must be received by the undersigned by 12:00 noon Friday, May
30, 2014. Questions or comments may be directed to the Municipal office at

Taking care
Huron Hospice Volunteer Service shared their
strategic plan, Embracing Change, during a presen-
tation at Seaforth Community Hosptial on April 22.
In attendace was MPP for Huron -Bruce, Lisa
Thompson, who presented the group with a
Trillium Foundation grant to assist in improving the
quality of care provided by the service.
Huron Hospice Volunteer Service provides
compassionate care, emotional support and
practical assistance to individuals and families
who are facing a life threatening illness, extend-
ing through to the bereavement process. Care can
be provided in a home, a hospital, or a long-term
care setting. Services and programs are to pro-
vided to residents of Huron County at no cost to
the participants.
