Kendra Jewitt
Kendra went to Humber College for retail floristry and worked
in St. Marys at a flower shop for three years before deciding to
become her own boss.
Blooms n' Rooms opened in 2005 selling fresh flowers and
plants for weddings, sympathy and all occasions as well as gifts.
"We strive for unique items," says Kendra of the giftware the
shop carries.
Kendra says she tries to offer personalized service for the best
price and can deliver fresh flowers around the world, mostly on
the same day as the order.
'We take pride in every single arrangement we design and
we're constantly restocking the coolers with fresh flowers," she
says. "Our customers keep coming back for more on a regular
basis." They love handcrafted local items and we strive to keep great prices, unique non
"box store" items and our amazing customer service. With two small children and operat-
ing the store can have its ups and downs, trying to spend as much time with the kids as
well as maintaining the store can be very demanding, but rewarding. Store is open

Sherry McLaughlin
I have been enjoying selling Real Estate for over 5 years along
side Maureen Wildfong in the Seaforth and surrounding area.
Being a real estate agent presents itself with many rewarding
challenges that require determination and having the ability to
understand that every client is different and each one of them
requires personal individual assistance and is not as easy as
showing someone 3 houses and having them pick one in 30
minutes as some popular reality shows have us believe. I
pride myself in providing loyal, devoted, steadfast, honest,
straight forward, consciousness service to all my clients and
comprehension of the ever changing real estate markets.
I take my responsibility and commitment to each client very
seriously and consider it an honour to be a part of what is quite
often the biggest financial purchase people will make.
There is nothing more personally fulfilling and gratifying then being a part of the
unforgettable moments when I witness my clients experience their individual goals and
dreams and am so thankful to be a part of it.l believe success in ones career
has nothing to do with the amount of money we make and has everything to
do with choosing a career that you love and believe in.

Betty & Danielle Small
Consignment clothing, toys and used furniture sales
just seem to work in Historic downtown Seaforth, but
only because the owners Betty and Danielle Small are
constantly monitoring current trends. Buying furniture
for resale is always risky, as no one really knows if it
will sell.
The mother and daughter team is always on the look
out for quality used furniture, during business hours
as well as after hours, on the internet, classifieds and
facebook.
They are kept busy in the store with customers and
pricing the ever changing merchanise. Over 180
consignment items arrive weekly and other stock is
donated to charity monthly. They operate a facebook page and keep it current with
pictures of "new" items, and answer questions and comments as they are asked. "Having
two of us as owners helps if time off is needed". They just added a baby to the mix, so
Danielle was able to take some needed time off and Betty loves to go to auctions and
estate sales for new inventory. Please drop by and see our store we will always there to
assist you.

Janet Haak

Nineteen years ago my husband John and I became the proud
owners of Janet's Country Donut Cafe. With a young family and
husband working full time as a miner, I had my work cut out for
me. Early out of highschool I got a job in the food service and
really enjoyed the work and the people. After getting married
and having three children I decided to stay home and raise
them, while driving school bus for five years.Once all the kids
were in school I once again worked in the food service, and
that's when this place was up for sale, put an offer in and
everything fell right into place. We became the owners of
Janet's Country Donut Cafe.
It's been a lot of hard work, long hours and a learning experience
for sure, but I have enjoyed it. Our business has been very
successful thanks to all my local customers whom I'm thankful for and a good staff
makes a huge difference. We were able to expand and renovate in 2006 which let me
add a lot more hot meals to our menu. We are now serving supper at night till 6:30 pm.
I'm not sure how much longer I will be doing this as I have put it up for sale. I now feel
I would like to spend some leisure time with my husband, kids and grandchildren, slow
down somewhat and pickup some old hobbies that I enjoy.

Henrietta Wise
Hairstylist and designer Henrietta Wise has been helping
Clinton and area look its best since 1996.
Staying up to date is crucial when you're in the style
business, and Wise said the staff at Les Ciseaux has the
opportunity to attend workshops at least twice a year.
In 2011, Wise expanded on her services offered with
manicures and pedicures, after taking an additional
course in the practice. By staying in touch with industry
reps, Les Ciseaux stays up to date on new information,
products and fashion trends.
The energy in the salon is inviting and unique. Between
stylists Henrietta and Katie, they are able to cater to
any cut or style, colour or highlights. Though they have a combined 25 years
experience, Wise said each day in the salon brings a new perspective on life.
Les Ciseaux is open Tuesday to Saturday and evenings by appointment.
