Bayfield Farmers' Market hosting Annual Walk and
grand opening on Fri., June 27 Run in Clinton

The Bayfield Farmer's Market
will mark its grand opening of
the 2014 season on Fri., June 27
at 3 p.m.
To celebrate, the Market is
serving up fresh strawberry
shortcake for only $5 with pro-
ceeds going to support the
Market.
Strawberry shortcake will be
available from 3 to 6 p.m.
Mayor Bill Dowson and other
dignitaries will be on hand to
serve up this special summer
treat.
The official ribbon cutting
ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm.
The Bayfield Farmer's Market
is open Fridays from 3 p.m. to 6
p.m. throughout the summer.
In a press release, market
manager Joan Brady extended
thanks to the Municipality of
Bluewater and to all of the peo-
ple and organizations that have
supported them.
"I also want to say for the
record, just how thrilled we are to
be located in beautiful Clan
Gregor Square in the heart of Bay-
field. It is our wish to create a fun
market atmosphere featuring a
variety of local products for resi-
dents, cottagers, boaters and visi-
tors alike," Brady said in the press
release.

and artisans who share your
passion for fresh locally pro-
duced food. Stroll through the
Market; enjoy a cup of fresh
perked coffee and a snack
while you shop. Catch up on
the latest gossip with your
friends or just listen to a musi-
cal performer playing simply
for your enjoyment.

On Sun., July 6, the 3rd Annual 5km
Walk and Run & l Okm Trail Run will be
occurring at the Central Huron Com-
munity Complex. The walk and run are
just two more ways that the Clinton and
Central Huron Business Improvement
Association is trying to make the com-
munity a great place to live, work and
play.
Highlights of the walk and run this
year include expert chip timing and
results, free technical t -shirts to all par-
ticipants and volunteers and draw
prizes. Registration for the event starts
at 7:30am, the 10km trail run starts at
9am, the 5km run at 9:05am and the
5km walk at 9:10am. At 9:30am food
and beverages will be provided and at
11am the event will conclude with an
awards ceremony.
