Huron County Crime
Stoppers crimes of the
month for June
GODERICH - Huron
County Crime Stoppers
and the Huron County
OPP would like the assis-
tance of the public in
helping to solve a Break
and enter in Goderich.
Huron County OPP
officers are investigating
a break, enter and theft
to the Town of Goderich
tourist booth located on
Hamilton Street.
Sometime between
3:30 p.m. on May 28th
and 8:00 a.m. on May
29th, someone forced
entry into the building
through a rear door.
Once inside the build-
ing the thief stole a 50"
flat screen television val-
ued at approximately
$1,000.
It was also noted that
the damage to the build-
ing door was estimated
to be around $500.
HURON EAST - Huron
County Crime Stoppers
and the Huron County
OPP would like the assis-
tance of the public in
helping to solve a theft of
a pickup truck from
Huron East.
At about 10:00 p.m.
on June 9th, the owner
of a 2011 black Ford
pickup parked their
vehicle at their place of
work in a company
parking lot located on
Newry Road.
On June 10th during
the early morning hours,
the owner returned to
the parking lot only to
find that the truck had
been stolen.
Police have since
learned the stolen pickup
truck was spotted on
Concession Road #3 in
Mapleton Township of
Wellington County.
Just before 4:00 a.m. a
property owner observed
a suspect with the stolen
vehicle attempting to
steal gasoline from a gas
pump at a private
residence.
The property owner
was able to stop the theft
however the suspect was
able to flee the scene in
the stolen truck.
The vehicle is
described as being a
black coloured 2011 Ford
F-150 FX4 four door
pickup truck. The vehicle
is equipped with tinted
windows, a soft tonneau
cover and towing
mirrors.
It should be noted the
pickup was left unlocked
with the keys easily
accessible inside the
console.
NORTH HURON -
Huron County Crime
Stoppers and the
Huron County OPP
would like the Publics
assistance in helping
to solve the theft of a
trailer that was stolen
from a Clyde Line
property in Bluevale.
The homemade trailer
was stolen sometime
between 6:00 a.m. on
May 22nd and 6:00 p.m.
on May 23rd.
Those responsible cut
a padlock off of the trailer
hitch before driving off
with it.
A witness observed a
red pickup truck parked
near the trailer on May
22, 2014 between 6:00
and 6:30 a.m.
The single axle,
A -frame homemade
trailer is made out of ply-
wood with a black metal
frame.
The trailer is 14 feet
long, 6 feet wide, and 8
feet tall.
The stolen property is
valued at approximately
$2500.
SOUTH HURON -
Huron County Crime
Stoppers and the Huron
County OPP would like
the Publics assistance in
helping to solve the theft
of a motor vehicle and
subsequent arson in
South Huron.
Shortly before 10:00
a.m. on May 7th, Huron
County OPP Officers
responded to Crediton
Road near McTaggart
Line to recover a stolen
vehicle.
Police received infor-
mation from a passerby
that there was a burnt
out vehicle in a drainage
ditch at that location.
The 2001 Dodge Cara-
van had been completely
destroyed by fire.
Officers further deter-
mined the vehicle had
been reported stolen
from Main Street in
Lucan on May 6th, some-
time between 6:00 p.m.
and 11:00 p.m.
