Blyth Arts & Culture Initiative 14/19 hosting
a day -long festival in Clinton
Event scheduled for June 14 will
celebrate Huron County arts and culture

Blyth Arts & Culture Initia-
tive 14/19 Inc. is hosting a
licensed, day -long festival to
celebrate the diverse local
talents of Huron County's
very own arts and culture
scene.
Held at the Clinton Race-
way grandstands on June 14,
this outdoor festival will
showcase regional musi-
cians and craftsmen and
give them an opportunity to
share their creative passions
with a live audience.
From 2:00 to 11:OOpm
this festival is sure to be
enjoyed by all ages and will
feature varying genres of
music from reggae to coun-
try. Sarah Hoy, a Wingham
native, will be kicking off
the show by presenting her
acoustic talents and origi-
nal songs off of her new
album, Compass of Your
Life. Clinton's own Ivan
Raczycki and his label,
"Eternal Bummer Records,
will be adding some artists
to the diverse lineup as
well. These include: Charlie
Weber's pop -punk jams
from his one-man band
"Major/Minor" the Fer-
mented Oranges, the
Goderich-based quattro of
beach bums consisting of
Adam Wendler, Dean Reyn-
olds, Dylan Bellinger and
Aaron Voskamp who strum
out rock/reggae riffs,
Joseph Elliott and Matt
Brak of Teeswater/Blyth
and their post -rock band A
Cat Named Wolf, and Ivan
himself with the beautiful
warblings of Mikey Chuck

Anne's music teacher and
Bayfield resident, will also
be bringing a touch of his
acoustic folk sounds to the
festival along with country
singer Caeltie Lynn. To con-
tribute to the variety of
energetic performances we
will also be paid a visit from
our London neighbours
"Texas King", indie pop -
rockers Say Hello, and the
sister trio Clara, Sydney
and Liza of, Stegall.
For the Artisan Fair the
artistic talents of locals will
be displayed and for sale at
booths on the Raceway
grounds. Grand Bend local
Kristyn Van Elyswick will be
there selling Rustic Chic
BOWtique's one -of -a -kind
handmade headbands,
headpieces, and hair bows
for all ages customized with
the likes of Swarovski crystal
elements and vintage fab-
rics. Shop Bike Coffee Roast-
ers, Shaun Henry and
Leanne Kavanagh's organic
coffee will also be available
for purchase at the event,
along with Jenna Bowler -
Cooke, Alexandra Jones,
Rebecca Marshall and Maria
Dennome who will be sell-
ing their one -of -a -kind
crafts.
Local and regional cul-
ture vultures, music lovers,
and anyone with a passion
for good music and art
residing in Huron County
and beyond are welcome.
This is a family event for
everyone from kids through
seniors. HuronSound and
Arts Festival is not just a
concert and art show, it
promises variety and high-
spirited energetic perfor-
mances alongside unique
creative expression. Come
and witness this cultural
expose of the talented indi-
viduals who contribute to
the artistic make-up of
Ontario's West Coast.
