Bruce Rathwell & Family Obituaries Obituaries BOWMAN, Leonard Eric - At Clinton Public Hospital on Thursday, May 22, 2014 Leonard Eric Bowman of Goderich and formerly of Benmiller in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Eileen Bowman (2008). Loving father of Brian & Bonnie Bowman of Goderich, Bruce & Brenda Bowman of Holmesville, June & John DeRoches of Crystal Falls and Byron & Joy Bowman of Goderich. Cherished grandfather of Barry & Tarrin, Brian Jr. & Carrie, Richard & Jade, Ian & Tricia, Tarah, Brianne, Brady, Haley and great grandfather of Emily, Aaron, Lincoln, Beth, Branden and Brooklyn. Survived by siblings Geraldine Willis, Garfield Bowman and Barb Officer. Predeceased by his grandson Aaron Bowman. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service was held at the FALCONER FUNERAL HOMES - BLUEWATER CHAPEL 201 Suncoast Dr. East, Goderich on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11:00 am. Beloved wife of the late Lewis George Dutot (2008). Loving mother of Bradley (Marion) Dutot of Cobourg, Kevin (Lisa) Dutot of Brucefield, and Jeanette Dutot (Rob) of London. Cherished grandmother of Ryan (Stacey) Dutot of Las Vegas, Melissa Dutot of California, and Cassie Dutot of Brucefield. Great grandmother of Mason & Avery Dutot. Dear sister of Edna Sims of Exeter, Joyce (David) Slorach of Etobicoke, and sister in law of Bessie Leppington of London. Also missed by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Predeceased by her parents Emma & George Bayley, sisters Marion (Charles) Kennington, Addie (Fergus) McKay, Verna (Robert) Morgan, sister in law Doris Austin, and brothers in law Evan Sims, and Alvin Dutot. Beloved husband of Barbara Van Egmond. Dear brother of the late Jack Van Egmond and his wife Gladys and family of Clinton. Fred will be fondly remembered by his close friend James Smale. Fred was a talented musician, artist, writer and a kind and loving husband to Barbara. The funeral service was conducted at HARRIS FUNERAL HOME, 220 St. James Street at Richmond on Thursday, May 29 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation preceded the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment Clinton Cemetery, Clinton. Obituaries Obituaries RUTLEY, Bernice Jean - Of Clinton, Ontario passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 21, 2014. Bernice was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on January 9, 1951 to the late Ernest and Olive Rose. She received her teacher's credentials from the Nova Scotia Teacher's College and held a masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Mount St. Vincent University. She was a member of CGIT, 2nd Battalion, 84th Regiment Regimental Association. She had previously been a member of Saint Andrew's United Church, Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. Bernice moved from Nova Scotia to Calgary in 2006 where she met and married Carl Rutley a year later. A loving mother, devoted wife and a dedicated teacher, if not spending time with her family she found great happiness in the classroom. Bernice spent 42 years teaching and in her spare time loved to swim and spend time by the water. In 2011, she and Carl relocated to Clinton, Ontario in advance of their anticipated retirement. Bernice is survived by her spouse, Carl Rutley, her two children Jennifer Ryan (Jason Ryan) and Rod Redden (Emi Redden), her sister Eileen Brown (Paul Brown), her brother David Rose, a step -daughter Christine Ezinga (Ben Ezinga) and seven grandchildren whom she cherished and adored; Tomoki, Kazuma and, Arisa Takeda, Ian Redden, Leena Redden, Brooklyn Ryan and Sebastian Ezinga. A Celebration of Life was held at the Foothills United Church in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday April 26, 2014. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bernice's memory to the IWK Children's Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia or the Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary, Alberta.
