Owner Annette Riley says on a visit to Bayfield, she was inspired by the artistic endeavours of the entire community. "The ambiance of the town itself was friendly and inviting. Every retailer was accommodat- ing and enthusiastic. I enjoyed the experience immensely," she said. " So, when I decided to expand my passion for creative up cycling, I immediately thought of Bayfield. Fortunately I found my little shop and have worked to create a fresh and pleasant atmosphere. The store officially opened on the long weekend in May." Riley says she loves to up cycle and recreate qual- ity pieces that stand the test of time. "RE -flec- tions of Home takes the items and does all the necessary repairs. Then each project is properly prepped and primed. "Then the fun begins. We get to create a new and interesting At RE -flections in Bayfield. look for that particular item,"she says. Annette has found many items and has created some amazing pieces. She does some custom items for clients per their requests. From time to time she will customize her own items for clients (their choice of paint, fab- ric etc) or she will customize a cli- ent's item that they have brought to her. Re -flections of Home are also pleased to represent some very talented people. "Our shop has Alice Lingard, of Strathroy, who creates beautiful hand woven baskets and magnifi- cent hand beaded heirloom jew- ellery. A must see. We have E. Lynne Burns who works in acryl- ics, Elisha G. Coghlan, and Michelle Haley who work in oils, as well as Kathy Moorehouse a talented watercolor artist.
