meeting will be Tuesday March
4 at 1:30 p.m. in the Sunday
school room.
The Stan Lee Seniors meet at
the Complex Wednesday March
5 at 2 p.m. and there will be
entertainment by Harvey Smith.
The Annual Pancake and Sau-
sage Supper will be at the Blue -
w a t e r Complex
in Varna Tuesday March 4 from
5-7 p.m. Proceeds will go to the
Huron
County Food Bank.
World Day of Prayer will be
Friday March 7 at 7:30 p.m. in
the sanctuary of the Brucefield
Community United Church. This
year the program was written by
the women of Egypt. Everyone
welcome.
Once again this year the
Church congregation is taking
part in Bowling for Big Brothers
and Sisters for South Huron on
March 21 and 22 at the Zurich
Lanes.
Anyone wishing to bowl can
sign up on a sheet on Colin's
office door and take a pledge
sheet.
Card Party will be held Thurs-
day Feb. 27 with a dinner before,
cards to start at 7:30 p.m. For
more info on the dinner or cards
please contact Fred McGregor.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters of
South Huron are holding their
annual Bowl For Kids Sake fund-
raiser on March 21 and 22 at the
Zurich Lanes. If you would like
to join the bowling team please
sign the list on Colin's office
door and take a pledge sheet.
The Annual Meeting of the
Brucefield Community United
Church was held following the
hot dog simple fare luncheon
that followed the worship serv-
ice Feb. 16. Sandra Turners
granddaughter Phoebe Simpson
lit the Christ Candle and birth-
day wishes were extended to
Phoebe and to Barb Norman.
There is a new director for Camp
Menesetung, Alexander Rey.
Crokinole Players met Feb. 11
for doubles play. Playing solo
was Dave Whyte with 38 points
to take first. Tying for second
with 28 points were Jack
McLachlan and Ralph Stephen-
son and Alec Ostrom and Bill
Stephenson. Third were Murray
Perdue and Margaret Hayter
with 27 points and in fourth
place were Sam Bradica and
Doug Trewartha with 25.
A card party was held at the
Odd Fellows Hall in Brucefield
on Thursday evening, Feb. 13.
High lady was Joyce Wilson and
high man was Stewart Wilson,
low lady was Donna Collins and
low man was Bob Thomas. Doug
Cartright had the most lone
hands. Draw winners were Dor-
othy McGregor and Joan
Beierling.
Worship leader Colin Snyder
led the service on Sunday, Feb.
23 in Brucefield Community
United Church with his message
being "God's Dwelling Place"
Birthday wishes were extended
