Radars two games up in opening series

The Clinton Radars took
back to back wins over the
Petrolia Squires this past
weekend, starting their playoff
run on a high note, two games
to none.
On Friday, Clinton hosted
the Squires, keeping the pres-
sure on goaltender Chris
Houle in their 3-0 win. Tommy
Lee earned the shutout for the
Radars. Once again, shots on
net made the difference. Clin-
ton outshot Petrolia 33-30.
Special teams were a big
part of the game, with both
teams facing numerous five on
three situations. Clinton was
1-10 on the power play. Petro-
lia was 0-7.
After a scoreless first period,
Tyler Doig put Clinton on the
board in the second, assisted
by Cody Hamilton and Luke
Vick on the power play. Justin
Reid followed up five minutes
later off Vick and Mike Gillen,
before scoring again in the
third off Brandon Dykxhoorn.
In game two in Petrolia,
Clinton took a 3-2 win. The
next game in the best of seven
series is Friday, Feb. 7 at the
CHCC. Game time is 8:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, Deryk White-
head is among the league
leaders points and assists.
Whitehead has 41 points this
season, with 26 assists, good
for third and fifth place respec-
tively. Tyler Doig is fourth in
the league for goals score with
18 for the season.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING
The 138th Annual Meeting of the Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Fire Insurance Company
will be held at the Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre at 2 p.m. on Monday, March
17, 2014, for the presentation of the Annual Report, to elect Directors and to transact
any business that may rightly come before the meeting.
Nominations will be received for the election of two Directors for a three year term.
The Directors whose term of office expires are Tom Feeney and Michael O'Shea, both
of whom are eligible for re-election.
Article 21 Any person wishing to seek election or re-election as a Director must
file his/her intention to stand for election in writing with the General Manager of the
Corporation in person at least thirty days in advance of the Annual Meeting or Special
General Meeting called for the purpose of electing Directors.
The 2013 Financial Statements for Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Fire Insurance
Company will be posted to the company's web site. Copies will also be available at
the company office, 507 Main Street South, Exeter, Ontario.
