Local centre aims to make hunger
non-existent
There are many people in Huron
County who sincerely care about
those who are less fortunate in our
community. This includes the staff
and volunteers at Huron County
Food Bank Distribution Centre
(HCFBDC) and on August 7th the
centre hosted its first annual gala
event called, Be Still and Know. The
event took place at the Vanastra
Community Christian Reformed
Church and over 100 people
attended. The aim of the event was
to address the hunger and poverty
in Huron County and raise aware-
ness of the fact that some individu-
als have a difficult time acquiring
and eating healthy food.
