Bill Dowson will be cele- brating 13 years of Service as Bluewater's first Mayor and 30 years in local and Huron County politics on Dec. 17th at the Varna Com- plex from 1-4pm. There will be speakers at 2pm. All are welcome to come out and celebrate with Bill. There will be a Christmas Eve Service at Brucefield Community United Church Dec, 24th at 7:30pm. Card Party was held at the Odd Fellows Lodge in Brucefield last Thursday evening. Card players started with a lovely dinner prepared and served by Dorothy McGregor. It was delicious as usual and thanks to Dorothy and Fred for all their hard work. Cards were enjoyed by all and the high lady was Janet Webster and low lady was Florence Simons, High man was Bob Thomas and low man was Bob Fotheringham and most lone hands went to Jim Collins. Draws were won by Dorothy McGregor, Jim Broadfoot, Marilyn Aiken and door prizes were won by Shirley Hargreaves and Donna Collins. The next card party in the New Year will be Thursday Jan 8 2015 at 7:30pm in Brucefield. Everyone welcome!
