"I'm proud to be the candidate for Huron -Bruce" said Schenk following her nomination; Huron Bruce has a long history of strong Liberal represent- atives that make local opinions heard at Queen's Park, and plan to continue that tradition of standing up for local com- munities. I know that Kathleen Wynne and I have similar priorities for ridings like Huron -Bruce; we are both focused on creating jobs and economic oppor- tunities for everyone, improving local roads, bridges, and highways - and of course, ensuring that all our students receive world class education, is very important to me." Colleen and her husband John live in Wingham, where they raised three chil- dren. Through her work with madd, Habitat For Humanity, the Wingham Figure Skating Club and other POLICE BRIEFS organizations, Colleen has always worked to give back to the local com- munity and make Huron -Bruce a great place for families to grow -up. Colleen is currently serving her sixth term as a Trustee with the Avon Mait- land District School Board. Over the years Colleen has served as Chair of the Board, and on each of the Board's com- mittees.
