County Beef Producers Association
Award for top novice beef member.
Mackenzie Terpstra took the Bank
of Montreal Award for first year
member with a highest score in the
Swine Awards.
The Huron County Pork
Producers' Award for Reserve
Champion Showperson at the
Seaforth Fair was presented to Nard
Ruygrok.
The Scotia Bank Award was won
by Anna Fear. The award is
presented to the champion swine
showperson at the Seaforth Fall Fair.
Darcy Fear took the John Watson
Award for champion market pig.
Darcy also received the Huron
County Pork Producers' Association
Award for being the highest score 4-
H Swine Club member and the Bill
Leeming Memorial Award for in the
Sodbuster category for best finish on
Junior Day.
Shawn Ryan received the TD
Canada Trust Award for being the
top 4-H Plow Person. Ryan also
received the Ross Gordon Memorial
Award for best crown on Junior Day
and the Agvise Award for being the
Sodbuster member with highest
points at the International Plowing
Match.
Craig Baan received one of two
Sodbuster Leaders' Awards for being
the most dedicated Sodbuster
member.
The Sodbuster Leaders' Award for
most improved member was
presented to Chris Baker.
The Townsend Tire Award,
presented to the Youngest Member
of the Sodbuster Club, was presented
to Johnny Ryan.
Jack Grobbink received the
McGavin Farm Equipment Award
for being the highest scoring first-
year Sodbuster member.
The Steve Corbett Award for
highest scoring in the Sodbusters
Club was presented to Darnell
Francis.
The South Huron Sheep Leaders
Award for outstanding effort went to
Kylie MacGregor.
Graham Falconer claimed the
Doug Kennedy Award for Reserve
Champion Sheep Showperson at the
Seaforth Fall Fair.
Troy Coultes received the Lisa
Thompson Award for champion 4-H
Sheep Showperson at the Seaforth
Fair.
Troy also received the Maple
Ridge Beef Farm Award for
Champion Junior Beef Showperson.
Max Johnson received the Green's
Meat Market Award for champion
market lamb.
The Old Mill Award for highest
score member of a 4-H Sheep Club
went to Evy Verschaeve.
The Judging Competition Team
Award went to Emily Bieman,
Brooklyn Hendriks, Megan Metske
and Katelyn Parsons.
In the Goat club awards, Sarah
Hendriks received the Joan Van
Sligtenhorst Award of Merit for
member showing most
improvement.
The Goat Club Leaders Award for
top novice member was presented to
Ty Hoggart.
Kirsten DeJong claimed the Joan
Van Sligtenhorst Award of Merit for
highest scoring goat member.
In the dairy awards, The Huron
Holstein Awards for top and second
highest scoring holstein calf went to
Adeline Treble and Isaac Van Soest,
respectively.
Van Soest also received the D & D
Glass Award for Reserve Champion
4-H Dairy Showperson.
Emily Franken received the Huron
Bay Co-op Award for Champion 4-H
Dairy Showperson at the Seaforth
Fall Fair.
The Auburn Co-op Trophy was
presented to Kailey Hallahan for
being reserve Champion 4-H Dairy
Calf.
The Member of Orr Insurance and
Investment Group Award was
presented to Rebecca Franken.
The Canadian Imperial Bank of
Commerce Award for highest
scoring member of the 4-H Dairy
Club was presented to Connor
Rodger.
The Scotia Bank Showperson
Award for top novice dairy club
winner in Goderich was presented to
Kailey Hallahan.
The Vincent Farm
Equipment/Delta Power Trophy
Award for top 4-H Educational
Display at the Seaforth Fall Fair was
awarded to the South Huron Sheep
Club.
The South Huron club also
received the John and Brandon
Coleman Award for having the best
haylage exhibit at the Seaforth Fall
Fair and the Pickseed Canada Award
for having the top 1/4 bale of second
cut hay at the Seaforth Fall Fair.
A lot of learning by doing
During the Huron County 4-H Awards ceremony held last
month, Josephine Snyder, right, was presented with an
award for completing work in 24 4-H Clubs. Leader Darrell
