The Wingham & District Hospital
Foundation has received a donation
of $122 from the Wingham Bantam
Rep hockey team. The 13- and 14 -
year -old players wore pink on the
rink for the month of October and
pooled their spare money together to
make a contribution to the oncology
department at the Wingham and
District Hospital.
After beginning to wear pink, they
took up a parent's suggestion to put
their money where their mouths
were and raise money for a local
cause. Many players from the team
visited the hospital on Dec. 6 to
present their gift to Foundation Co-
ordinator Nicole Jutzi and
Registered Nurse Barb Pletch of the
oncology department.
"We are so pleased to see young
people working to improve their
community and valuing local health
care," said Jutzi. "I hope the
donation by the team inspires others
in our community to know that every
gift counts and everyone can get
involved and make a difference".
The Wingham & District Hospital
Foundation would like to thank
every single player on the team for
their generosity. The members of the
2017 to 2018 Wingham Bantam Rep
hockey team are: Logan Bross,
Payten Wheeler, Riley Good, Chase
Mann, Rowen MacDonald, Bryson
Bennett, Cameron teRaa, Blake
Deans, Owen Schouten, Cole
Schiestel, Spencer Logan, Caleb
Logan, Wade Robinson, Alex
Wagner, Tyson Moran and Cole
Schouten.
