The next card party will be on Friday, Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Greeting and handing out the service of worship at Knox United Church on Sunday, Oct. 29 were Gord and Nancy Folkard. The minister Brian Hymers lit the Christ candle. As the candle was lit, we were reminded of the Lord's continued love and support. Allow its flame to brighten the darkness around us and also to shine for others who question its light within us. After the gathering prayer the welcoming hymn sung was "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" was sung. Ron Taylor reported on the books donated to our congregation from Northminster United Church in Oshawa. Congratulations to Barb and Larry Harper on their 30th wedding anniversary. Belated birthday wishes to John Clark. Dungannon United Church is having a fall supper on Nov. 12 at the Agricultural Hall. The call to worship was read responsively, followed by the children's hymn, "I the Lord of Sea and Sky" accompanied by Mackenzie Wightman at the piano. The children gathered in the front pew for story time with Brian. He asked them what was going to happen this week. They replied fittingly with Halloween costumes and trick or treating. Halloween started years ago as people dressed up as spirits to scare people. After the children's prayer and the senior choir sang, the children adjourned to Sunday School. The congregation listened to the Word of God as Karen Davenport read scripture from Exodus 33: 12- 23 and Matthew 22: 15-22. Brian reflected on God being the creator of all things in what we say and do. You cannot buy your way into Heaven. God has given us the good news through His son Jesus. We need to be willing to give money to the church in order for churches to survive. Doug Walker and Gord Folkard took up the offering which was dedicated. Hymns that were sung included, "0 God of Every Nation", Find a restaurant on the Stops Along The Way section of our website at www.northhuron.on.ca "For the Gift of Creation", "Take My Life and Let It Be" and "May the God of Hope Go With Us" FROM BELGRAVE Business Directory PHARMASAVE° COME IN AND VISIT YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD PHARMASAVE BROWN'S PHARMASAVE 198 Josephine St., Wingham, Ont. 519-357-1629 Hours: Mon. - Fri. 9 - 6 Sat. 9 - 4 Rear Parking Available LIVE WELL WITH Easy Prescription Transfer PHARMASAVE E PAUL COOK ELECTRIC Home, Farm & Commercial Wiring BELGRAVE 519-357-1537 VAS6 4 OIL Bernard Enterprises Authorized dealer for Central Boiler Classic Outdoor Wood Furnaces, E -Classic Outdoor Wood Furnances And Maxim Wood Pellet and Corn Burners Gasification units available Inquire about our new edges Carman Bernard 519-887-6405 RR #4 Brussels centralboiler.com Free delivery in Wingham & surrounding area SHELVING & RACKING f , Large instock selection of pallet ra a,ing, store shelving, display cases and for Industrial, Residential, Farm & R i it www.lakesideshelvi ng.cn lakesidemarket@gmail.ccm 33842 Market Rd., North of Goderich, off Hwy.21 519-524-174 Affordable CAR AND TRUCK RENTALS Large & Small Trucks fridge carts - piano dollys- moving blankets Complete Selection of Cars Our rates qualify for insurance replacement Passenger Vans full size or mini GODERICH TOYOTA 344 Huron Rd. 519-524-9381 GODERICH 1-800-338-1134 8.
