Roulston as a way of guiding the
village to prosperity and this fund,
which is to be created through the
donations at the event, would carry
on that practice.
"It would be a really great way of
continuing his impact on this
community," Sholdice said. "The
Blyth Idea Group spurred a lot of
what happens in this community."
BIA Treasurer Gary van Leeuwen
said if there was to be such a fund,
there would need to be a description
of what the fund would benefit.
Sholdice said she envisioned the
fund as something the BIA could use
annually to enrich an event or make
an event happen. The example of the
Remembrance Day banners was
given, a project that will see local
servicemen and women honoured
by having banners with their
likeness and stories hung on the
light standards in the village
around Remembrance Day as a
good example. The BIA received
Sholdice's report.
