Big winners on a big stage
The Brussels Fall Fair, despite being affected by the weather shutdown at the International
Plowing Match, went ahead at the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre on Sept. 20
and the results were celebrated widely throughout the community. Cole MacPherson, right,
was the owner of the champion calf of the day, while Troy Coultes, left, was the owner of the
reserve champion calf. Presenting the two men with their awards were Ambassador Erin

An annual tradition
The Brussels Fall Fair was again home to the annual 4-H Beef Club show. However, while it
had originally been planned for the International Plowing Match grounds in Walton, the
weather-related closure of the site moved the exhibition back to its traditional home at the
Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre. (Shawn Loughlin photo)
