EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
1 Full time position available* - 40 hours per week
Applicants must have proven extensive grader and heavy equipment experience and
possess DZ licence. Other duties include but are not limited to assist in maintaining storm
sewers, municipal drains, bridges, signs, roads, sidewalks, and road side trees, responsible for
snow and ice removal and maintain proper health and safety.
Employment to commence immediately. Applicants are asked to submit a detailed resume in

Crash leads
to charges

Cranbrook Road near Brussels. On
the way to the call police were
informed the suspect vehicle was
last seen driving across the property
owner's bean field.
Police arrived on scene and were
able to locate the suspect vehicle, a
Dodge Ram pickup, stuck in the
bean field. The driver indicated to
police he got lost on his travels.
While speaking with the male driver
police observed the driver to be
displaying several signs of
impairment.
As a result he was arrested
and was transported to the Huron
OPP Detachment for subsequent
breath tests. He later provided two
samples of his breath to a qualified
intoxilizer technician and both of his
samples registered above the legal
limit.
The 39 -year-old from Central
Huron has been charged with
Impaired Care and Control, Care and
Control of a Motor Vehicle with
Over 80 Milligrams and Mischief
Under $5,000.
He has a court appearance
scheduled for Oct. 23 at the Ontario
Court of Justice in Goderich.
His licence has also been
suspended for an automatic 90 days
and his vehicle was impounded for
seven days.
DIRT BIKE STOLEN
Huron County Ontario Provincial
Police (OPP) officers are currently
investigating a break, enter and theft
of a dirt bike that was stolen last
week from a garage located on
Nichol Line.
Investigators have determined
that sometime between 6 a.m. and
5 p.m. on Oct. 3, someone entered
into the unlocked garage and stole
the dirt bike and a jerry can of
fuel.
The dirt bike is described as
a 2001 Suzuki RM 250 with a
yellow plastic frame and black
decals valued at approximately
$2,300.
GRAND PRIX STOLEN
Huron County Ontario Provincial
Police (OPP) is currently
investigating the theft of a
Pontiac Grand Prix that was stolen
from a Huron East farm some-
time during the last week of
September.
The vehicle owner called police on
Sept. 28 to report someone attended
his Huron Road farm and stole his
vehicle sometime during the
previous week. The owner reported
the vehicle had been left
unlocked with the keys left inside
the vehicle.
The stolen vehicle is described as
a brown, four -door, 2002 Pontiac
Grand Prix. A value for the stolen
vehicle has not been provided.

regarding these incidents should
immediately contact Huron OPP at
