CLARKE, Harvey Ray. The family
of Harvey Clarke is overwhelmed
with the many acts of kindness
shown to our families. We appreciate
the food sent to our homes, the floral
arrangements, the telephone calls,
the beautiful cards with your caring
messages of sympathy, the many
contributions to the hospital and
other charities and also the many
friends, family and neighbours who
took the time to come to the funeral.
A big thank you to Dr. Latuskie,
CCAC, the wonderful nurses and
staff at the hospital, Jim and Judy
Brenneman for their care and
understanding in helping us plan the
funeral. Thanks to Mary Ellen for
the beautiful old hymns before and
during the service, and Rev. Colin
Snyder for the time he took with us
planning the service and his
beautiful message with the Farmer's
Creed. Thank you to the Atwood
UCW for the lunch and the
Awesome Grandmas for their
wonderful music for the afternoon of
visiting and memories. I'm sure that
Gramps was looking down from
heaven wishing that he could come
down and teach those grandkids how
to dance. I'd like to also thank the
grandkids for wearing their Massey -
Ferguson hats for the occasion and
their remembrances given to Sara
and Emily who did the eulogy
beautifully. I would like to thank my
family for taking dad for his last
wagon ride with a 165 Massey
tractor out to the cemetery. Thank
you to everyone for the beautiful
day. — Marg and family. 36-1

Kitchener
woman
arrested
At approximately 9:30 p.m. on
Sept, 8, Wingham Police were
advised by South Bruce OPP of a
stolen black GMC and another
vehicle, a Blue Chevrolet
Avalanche, travelling southbound on
County Road 4 from the Teeswater
area.
Wingham police officers observed
the Avalanche failing to stop at the
stoplights on Josephine Street North
in Morris Turnberry near the north
end of Wingham.
The vehicle entered Wingham and
the officer attempted to stop it. The
vehicle continued to drive at a high
rate of speed, failing to stop at stop
signs so the pursuit was terminated
for safety reasons.
Wingham police located the
vehicle in the Wescast parking lot
off Water Street and the female
driver was still inside. The officer
approached and was in the process
of arresting the driver when she
attempted to bite him. She was able
to put the vehicle in reverse and
rammed the cruiser, causing severe
damage to the cruiser before driving
away at a high rate of speed.
Later, Wingham Police took a
woman into custody with regard to
this incident.
A 21 -year old Kitchener woman
was apprehended by Huron OPP in
Central Huron after a spike belt was
deployed. The woman ran into a
field and was successfully tracked
down using a K-9 unit. She is being
held for bail on charges of
possession of property obtained by
crime, flee police, dangerous
driving, assault with intent to resist
arrest and driving without a licence.
Anyone with any information
regarding this incident is asked to
contact police or Crime Stoppers.
