The Maitland River Elementary School student was named Little Ambassador at the ambassador competition held at the Brussels Legion earlier this month. As part of the competition, she talked about how much fun it was going to the Brussels Fall Fair. Bernard, who is going into Grade 4 next week, was thrilled to win the competition. "I was really excited and I was happy," she said. "I kind of wondered what was going to happen for the rest of the year being the Little Ambassador." It turns out that she didn't have to wait long to find that out. Aside from monthly meetings through being the Little Ambassador, Bernard has already been helping out with other events, including attending the second of two craft days at the Brussels Library on Sunday. All the crafts will be on display at the Brussels Fall Fair tent at the International Plowing Match next month.
