Sheep Club meets
By Austin Bieman
The fifth meeting of the Lucknow
4-H Sheep Club was held on Aug. 3
at Maitland Lane Farms.
When the club arrived, the
meeting opened with the 4-H
pledge. Next, the club did roll call
which was "In a conformation class,
what is one bad thing and one good
thing about your show lamb?" After,
the club did secretary and press
reports.
Next, the club received books on
how to pick out a good show lamb.
Then, Blair Bieman gave the club a
tour of the farm's new barn. The
club judged yearlings and breeding
ewe lambs. After that, the club
closed the meeting with the motto
and snacks provided by the Todd
family. The last meeting will be held
on Sept. 7.
The club was able to buy club
sweaters with a donation that was
made by the Dungannon Tractor
Pull committee and thanks to the
Lucknow Rodeo committee, the
club can now purchase new show
shirts for new club members going
forward.
