Lobb honours 31 residents with Canada 150 medals Continued from page 8 recognized for over 55 years with the Huron County 4-H program, including the 4-H Swine and Sodbusters clubs. Dodds' contribu- tions to the Huron County Plowmen was also recognized, as was his time with the Seaforth Fall Fair Board and with the Cavan United Church in Winthrop. Wingham's Jason Goodall was recognized for his contributions to his community including his 20 years on the Wingham Silver Stick Committee which has resulted in him being elected international director for the hockey event, coaching the Wingham Spitfires for nine years and three Western Ontario Athletic Association senior championships and his various other community activities including the Wingham Homecoming, the Wingham Sportsman Club, Wingham Minor Baseball and Wingham Minor Hockey. Wingham's Tim Poole was recognized for his distinguished military career, including 23 years as a Military Police Officer, and contributions to Wingham. Poole is the Chief of Police in Wingham as well as commanding officer of the local Air Cadets, Squadron 543. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Huron Victims Services Board of Directors. Those honoured received a Commemorative Canada 150 medal from Huron -Bruce MPP Ben Lobb. Among the recipients were two local business men who have strived to improve their communities through economic development initiatives and contributions to local efforts.
