Blyth's Part II Bistro again tops provincial list
keeping his food as local as
possible.
"That's what has made the
restaurant what it is," he said in an
interview with The Citizen. "Using
local food in what we make is
paramount."
The awards are based on
recommendations the restaurant has
accrued from the TripAdvisor
website. The majority of the Bistro's
reviews are exemplary with almost
90 per cent of the reviews giving the
restaurant five out of five stars and
the remaining reviews at four of five
stars.
The restaurant has previously been
recognized for top ratings in the two
categories in 2016 and was named
the number one restaurant in the
province against 28,000 competitors
in 2015.
The restaurant also recently made
the Readers Digest Canada online
top 30 brunches in Canada.
Local organizations, including the
Huron Chamber of Commerce -
Goderich, Central and North Huron
association, have recognized the
restaurant for the quality of food and
service provided. The chamber
awarded Gusso with the Hospitality
Business Award at the annual Spirit
of Success Awards Gala in 2016.
Gusso said the staff is just as
responsible for the award as he is,
and they are all very pleased with the
awards. He says its an indication of
what they need to keep doing.
"That's what has kept us winning
these awards for the past three
years," he said.
He said that, aside from sourcing
locally, the dining experience is
what he wants his staff to focus on.
"We want to try and keep the
service and quality of food the same
because that's what people are
appreciating," he said.
Gusso said the restaurant is
expanding its offering of unique
dining experiences beyond seasonal
tastings this year with events like
euchre nights and special guest
nights continuing.
Events coming up include a beer
tasting on April 29 and a Margarita
Night set on May 5 to celebrate
Cinco de Mayo.

Gusso recently received word that
the restaurant had once again been

Gusso said both awards are
great, but the one that recognizes
Canadian Cuisine shines a
