This year the service was held at Living Water Christian Fellowship and it was written by the women of the Philippines. The prayer of approach was said in unison. Lori invited everyone to greet one another. The next hymn "He Leadeth Me" was sung. The scripture reading was from the Gospel of Luke 17:11- 19, the story of Jesus healing the 10 lepers and the one leper thanking Jesus for healing them. Rev. Clark asked the children if anyone had done anything nice for them. Some answers were mom, dad and friends. He then asked them if they had thanked the person enthusiastically. He told them in the scriptures this morning that the leper thanked Jesus for healing the ten of them. When we say thank you to others, it makes us feel good and it also makes the person we are thanking feel good. The children and the congregation said a prayer along with Rev. Clark and the children went downstairs for their time of fellowship. The choir sang the anthem "Come Follow Me." Rev. Clark's message to the congregation was "Thanks Be to God - No Really." Martin Luther King Jr. always answered a question with a scripture verse. When Jesus heals the 10 lepers, one of the 10 turns and falls down and thanks Jesus for healing them. In today's society we hate to be wrong and really don't want anyone to see us when we are wrong. We often come to church thinking of all the things we are going to do when church is over and therefore we have no room for God. The lepers had the ability to ask for help and Jesus healed them. We need to ask for help and God will give us an answer. If we use our prayers to ask God for guidance He will answer. Sometimes it isn't the answer we want but He Monthly Legion luncheon set for March 9 Happy birthday to Grace McNichol who celebrates on March 9, Lillian Appleby, March 10, Diane Howson, March 13 and Steven Sparling, March 16. M -T approves Co-op build The Huron Bay Co -Op site in Belgrave has been approved for an expansion of its fertilizer storage building by Morris-Turnberry Council. The pending construction will see the storage facility increased by 800 square feet. Council was told that the expansion conforms with zoning bylaws despite the fact that the site is over a highly vulnerable aquifer. When council asked why, it was explained that there isn't a municipal well -head in the area, so the best management programs typical of such a facility would be sufficient to protect the aquifer. A spill management plan is also part of the plan. Councillor John Smuck asked if the site would be subject to an environmental impact study under re' REPRINTS OF PHOTOS taken by Citizen photographers are available to purchase. (by Henry Mahan) Every soul has a beloved; something or someone in which to glory, rejoice, and enjoy. With some it is THE WORLD (its vanity, materialism, and honours). With others it is THE FLESH. They live to entertain the flesh, to satisfy the flesh, and to pamper the flesh. With others it is THE FAMILY. Close and distant relatives, family trees, family reunions make up their past, present, and future. With others it is RELIGION and works of righteousness. Their religion is not a PERSON; it is a CAUSE to which they are devoted in hope of a suitable reward. And with some it is SELF, pure and simple; what can we do for me? To a believer, it is CHRIST! He worships, loves, rejoices, and glories in the Lord Jesus above all things. Christ is my Beloved and I am His. Christ, His fellowship, His love, and His approval, are preferred above people, possessions, pleasures, or pursuits. Could One so illustrious and supreme deserve any less? "Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire beside You!" (Ps. 73:25) A Grace Gem Submitted by: Immanuel United Reformed Church, Listowel, ON 519-291-1956
