LANES NEVUS Re•optaliDg of Lanes Presbyterian Church Our re -opening services in the Pres- byterian church here proved successful beyond the expectation of the most sanguine. The afternoon meeting was very largely attended, and the very able and practical discourse delivered by the Rev. Mr. Olivant, of Lucknow, amply repaid all who were in atten- dance. The text was taken from Pro, 3, 17: "Her ways are ways of pleasantness." The evening service found the church crowded to the doors. Rev. A. The unity prevailing in this section Was plainly noticeable by the attendance of so many different denominations. The thanks of the congregation is due to our Methodist friends for the very hearty manner in which they assisted in making our meetings so successful.
