The June session of the Bruce
County Launcil which opened on
Wednesday of last week came to a
close on Saturday forenoon. There
was about as touch businem as usual
w dispose of, but although the Council
melt a day later in the week than is
their custom, they managed to get
through on time. One of the duties
of this session was the laying of the
Corner Stone, to which reference is
made elsewhere in this issue, and
which wad a little out of the routine
of business.
In the matter of grants, the Council
proceeded with a good deal of caution.
Apart from small grants which were
made for the repairing of bridged, the
easy grants made were as follows :
(1) ♦ grant of t:100 to mist the
rutlnicipaality of 13rant in building a
bridge over the Ssugeeu river at
Maple Hill.

A by-law waa passed appointing

Thompson is of the opinion that the

will lead to confusion. As the town-
ship council has the right to arrange
its polling sub -divisions as it sees tit,

The clerk was instructed to alb ertia,e

The county :solicitor was instructed
to prepare a by-law, authorizing the•
asa1e of debentures for `�11,00O, bearing
-Interest at the rate of I per cent., the
money to be applied in paying the
House.. of Refuges contractors. This
