MALCOLM NICHOLSON, L. D. S.,
is a name known all over the county as that
of one of the most experienced and skillful
dentists in Ontario. Mr. Nicholson has been
a resident of Goderich for 40 years, his
practice covers a period of 25 years and
includes an extent of country far beyond
the n.eighborhoocl of our town. His dental
parlors are neatly and tastefully
fitted up, and he has all tlie
latest appliances and improve-
ments in his profession, enabling
hien to perform first-class work
and in a manner that removes
all occasion for the dread with
which the average patient • faces
the dental chair. - Mr. Nieholson's
handsome residence and office are
shown in the accompanying illus-
tration. It may be added that he
has for years been a member of
our town council, and of the
public school board, besides being
connected with most of the
secret societies, and in all public
affairs is one of our most pro-
gressive citizens.

Before coming to Goderich,
Mr. Murdoch had an extensive experience
inthe boot and shoe trade in a leading
centre, and he has succeeded in working up
a fine business since opening up in our town.

Among the pushing and energetic business
,men who have made the metropolis of Duron
county what it is at present, A. P. McLean
has performed an important part. Twenty-
five .years ago . Mr. • McLean established
himself in business in Goderich . in the
merchant tailoring, and by a uniform course
comprising a stock of general merchandise.
The store is one of the finest in appearance
in the town and is always attractive, not
only for the excellence of the goods, and
their newest and latest styles, but also for
their very convenient and artistic arrange-
ment. The clothing jiall up stairs is very
commodious, and . is stocked with a fine
selection of ready-made clothing. The
establishment is one of the
largest in the town, the store
being about 100 feet long by
nearly 30 feet wide.

Mr. Strachan is one of the
pioneers in this business in

provision trade, from the manu-

from a pennyweight to a ton,

does a very large trade, being
one of the oldest and most widely
known dealers in meeting the
wants of our lake traders.
