All the stores are decked out for Christmas and the holiday sea-
son is fast approaching with Lucknow and many other communi-
ties starting the month of December off with carolfests.
Luclmow s will be on Dec. 4 at Lucknow United Church.
This last couple of weeks saw some rather ugly weather begin-
ning with the downpour on Remembrance Day followed by snow
and whiteouts which resulted in a number of severe accidents in
the area. People have to remember to slow down in bad weather,
but they don't, then they wonder why they were in an accident.
Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that the weather indi-
cated speeds of 50 km/hr or less, while they were still doing 90 or
100. I saw just such an accident just south of Belgrave recently
and many drivers on the road were not only driving too fast, they
were not pulling over to let emergency vehicles past them.
e Lucknow Kinsmen and Kinettes recently celebrated their
40 anniversary with a special dinner and dance (by invitation
only) to all current and former members. Congratulations to all
current and former members and on behalf of Lucknow and area,
a big thanks for all you've done.
