Taxes may be paid through pre -authorized payment, telephone/internet banking, mailed to or at the Municipal Office, 21 Queen St., Ripley, between 8:30 a.m. & 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For your convenience, interac as well as post dated cheques are accepted at the office. There is also an after hours drop box located at the front of the office. Taxes not paid by the due date are subject to interest charges of 1.25% per month. Please ensure your payment is received in the office by the due date. When making payment through Telephone/Internet banking & Teller/ ABM payments please allow two (2) business days for payment to be received in the municipal office. FAILURE TO RECEIVE A TAX BILL DOES NOT RELIEVE THE TAXPAYER FROM THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PAYMENT NOR THE LIABILITY OF PENALTY CHARGES FOR LATE PAYMENT. Any ratepayer who has not received a tax notice is advised to contact the Township of Huron -Kinloss Municipal Office at (519) 395-3735 as soon as possible. Tax payments can be made in person at the municipal office, by regular mail, or at the CIBC Goderich branch only. Interac/debit card services are accepted at the office as well as post-dated cheques for your convenience. Telephone/internet banking is available through most major banking institutions. Pre -authorized payment is available by completing a form from the office and providing a VOID cheque. After hour payments may be left in the letter slot located at the front door. Taxes not paid by the due date are subject to interest of 1.25% per month. Failure to receive a tax notice does not relieve the taxpayer from responsibility for payment nor the liability of penalty charges for late payment. Obituaries 1 In Memoriam I Thanks 1 Births 1 Celebrations 1 More Obituaries Obituaries GREEN, Newton - of Lucknow, died suddenly as a result of a motor vehicle accident November 11, 2013 in Barrie at the age of 18. He was the beloved son of Ron & Anita Elliott of Lucknow. Dear brother of Richard and partner Delanie Cortez of Manitoba, Rachel of Lucknow and her boyfriend Kris Little, and Charles of Lucknow. He was the proud uncle of Nolan. Also survived by his birth mother Tammy Green, of Kitchener and his sister Starr Green of Mildmay. Newton was a friendly, talkative guy who chatted with everyone he helped during his years of work at Hamilton Fuels. He enjoyed his recent employment at Three Creeks restaurant, where he was exploring his passion for cooking. He was pursuing his studies in Culinary Arts at Georgian College Barrie. Visitation was held at MACKENZIE & MCCREATH FUNERAL HOME, Lucknow on November 15, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service was conducted from the Lucknow Presbyterian Church on November 16, 2013 at 11 AM. Rev. Peggy Kinsman officiated. Interment at Greenhill Cemetery. Also greatly missed by son-in-law Robert Peck of Lucknow, granddaughter Amanda (Graham) Kerr of Mildmay, grandson Daniel Evans of Lucknow, great grandchildren Mackenzie & Mikayla Kerr, sisters Lillian Swance of Toronto and Muriel Fox of Minden and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Diana Lynn Peck and sister Eva Swance.
