Take Notice that tenders are invited for the purchase of the land(s) described below and will be received until 3:00
p.m. local time on February 5, 2014, at the Municipal Office, P.O. Box 130, 21 Queen Street, Ripley, ON NOG 2R0.
The tenders will then be opened in public on the same day as soon as possible after 3:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office,
21 Queen Street, Ripley.

Minimum Tender Amount: $26,003.36
Tenders must be submitted in the prescribed form and must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a money
order or of a bank draft or cheque certified by a bank or trust corporation payable to the municipality (or board) and
representing at least 20 per cent of the tender amount.
Except as follows, the municipality makes no representation regarding the title to, existing interests in favour of
the Crown, environmental concerns or any other matters relating to the lands) to be sold. Any existing Federal
or Provincial Crown liens or executions will remain on title and may become the responsibility of the potential
purchaser. Responsibility for ascertaining these matters rests with the potential purchasers.
This sale is governed by the Municipal Act, 2001 and the Municipal Tax Sales Rules made under that Act. The
successful purchaser will be required to pay the amount tendered plus accumulated taxes and the relevant land
transfer tax.
The municipality has no obligation to provide vacant possession to the successful purchaser.
Note: H.S.T. may be payable by successful purchaser.

Obituaries
WEBSTER, Flora - of Lucknow, passed
away at Pinecrest Manor on Tuesday
December 17, 2013 at age 96. She was
born in Lucknow on October 18, 1917 to the
late Annie (Gives) and Richard Webster.
Missed by her nieces and nephews Judy
(Wayne) Brooks of Kitchener, Elizabeth -
Anne (Roy) Hunt of Wroxeter, George
(Ann) Webster of Ottawa and Shirley (Bill)
Bolt of Lucknow. Also survived by several
great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
her brothers and sisters: Percy, Tracey,
Harvey, Charlie and Marjorie Webster and
Dolly Johnston. A Funeral Service was held
at MacKENZIE & McCREATH FUNERAL
HOME, Lucknow on Friday December 20,
2013 at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior.
Spring interment Greenhill Cemetery,
Lucknow. Donations to the Lucknow United
Church or Pinecrest Residents Council
were greatly appreciated as expressions of

PORTER, Marianna
(MacDonald) - Of Lucknow, passed away
at Victoria Hospital, London on Friday
December 13, 2013 at age 66. Greatly
missed by 3 sons, Duane, Steven and
Jeffrey (Mindy) Porter all of Lucknow.
Loving Grandma of Mason, Emma and
Keira. Also survived by brother John
MacDonald of Tara, sister-in-law Kathy
Fitzpatrick of Kingsbridge and nieces
and nephews. Predeceased by parents
Margaret (McKinnon) and Peter
MacDonald, brother Jim and sister-in-law
Cathy MacDonald. Visitation was held from
the MacKENZIE & McCREATH FUNERAL
HOME, Lucknow on Saturday December
21, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Graveside
Service will be held in the spring. Interment
Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. In lieu of
flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer or
Lucknow Minor Hockey were greatly
appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

BALLAGH, Wallace Arthur "Wally" -
Of Lucknow formerly of Teeswater and
Culross Township, passed away at
Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Lucknow
on Friday, December 6th, 2013 in his 84th
year. Beloved husband of over 60 years to
the former Ruth Bradburn. Dear father of
Byron Ballagh of Wingham, Gary and
Janice Ballagh of R. R. #2 Teeswater and
Donna and Paul Inglis of Belmore. Loving
grandpa to Heather VanderHoek (Bryce),
Mark Ballagh (Courtney Bakker), Blake
Scott (Aly Hummel), Devan Ballagh,
Michael Ballagh, Paige Ballagh, Matthew
Ballagh, Warren Inglis (Nicole Hopkins),
Marilyn Gibson (Blair) and Cheryl Inglis.
Great -grandpa to Cayden and Cole
VanderHoek and Taylor and Russell
Gibson. Survived by his sister Dora Alton of
Brussels. Brother-in-law of Audrey and Jack
Adair of Molesworth, Murray and Joan
Bradburn and Shirley and Murray Keyes all
of London. Fondly remembered by several
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his
parents, Arthur and Eva (Wallace) Ballagh,
sister Elda Norman, brothers-in-law John
Norman and Blake Alton and daughter-in-
law Debbie Ballagh and family friend Lois
Ballagh. Visitation was held at the TIFFIN
FUNERAL HOME, Teeswater on Tuesday,
December 10th from 1 to 4 pm and 6 to 9
pm. Funeral service celebrating Wally's
life was conducted from Knox
Presbyterian Church, Teeswater on
Wednesday, December 11th, 2013 at 11
a.m., with Reverend Owen Kim officiating.
Frank Leahy, a family friend, provided the
music on his violin for the Processional and
"Wally's Jig" for the Recessional as well as
Wally's favorite fiddle tune, "The Blue Bells
of Scotland; during the service. Son in law,
Paul Inglis sang the solo "Take My Hand
Precious Lord': Granddaughter, Heather
and niece, Mary Anne Lemm read from
scripture. Musical tributes were provided
by Gary (son), Janice and family
playing 'Amazing Grace" followed by
remembrances and readings given by
Bonnie Falconer (family friend), Donna
Inglis (daughter) and Byron (son). "How
Great Thou Art" was the congregational
hymn with the musical prelude and hymn
accompaniment provided by Jo Reid. Wally
and Ruth's Granddaughters, Heather,
Marilyn, Cheryl, Devan, and Paige carried
floral tributes. Pallbearers were Wally and
Ruth's grandsons, Mark, Blake, Warren,
Michael, Matthew and family friend, Garry
Falconer. The Honourary Pallbearers were
some of Wally's long-time friends, Gerald
Baptist, Lloyd McGlynn, Bob Colvin, Bob
Gilchrist, Bob Charters and Karl Lang. A
touching Honour Guard was presented by
the Teeswater Farmall Square Dancing
Tractors, which led Wally and his family to
his final resting place and interment at the
Culross-Teeswater Cemetery. Memorial
donations to the Teeswater Town Hall
"Kitchen Renovation Fund" or Knox
Presbyterian Church appreciated as
