Seventeen friendly play-
ers travelled to Laney's Res-
taurant in Teeswater on
Saturday, September 13,
2014. After lunch it was
decided by Peter to sit out
and watch the others
"Shoot it Out': There were
indeed some great "Shots"
by both genders and the
following scores will reveal
the same.
The results were as fol-
lows: High for men was
Jack MacLeod with a score
of 55 and recipient of
Laney's Gift Certificate, sec-
ond was Al Carter with 49
and Neil Cook and Ross
MacLeod tied for third with
45 points. Most twenties for
the men were Ross
MacLeod with 33, Neil
Cook with 32 and Lloyd
Thompson and Jack
MacLeod lied with 31.
On the Ladies side Carol
Cook topped the score with
52 and received a Laney's
Certificate, Eva Wilken was
second with 48 and Aileen
Brebner third with 45
points. Top twenfies went to
Jo -Ann Carter with 27, Carol
Cook and Sarah Mason
tied for second with 21
and Marilyn Thompson
was third with 19.
Door prizes went to Al
Carter, Janet Diebel, Eva
Wilken and Ross MacLeod.
The next Laney's tourna-
ment is scheduled for 4:00
p.m. on Friday, October
10th. Why not phone Peter
or Jo -Ann at 392-8115 and
enjoy this social event. Both
young and old are invited
and will not be
disappointed.
Crokinole has and is still
known as a family sport.
You will never ever see any
alcohol at a tournament
which includes the
"Worlds" that is held at
Tavistock, Ontario the first
Sat irday in June.

LCPS 2014-2015 School Council
The first meeting of the Lucknow Central Public School's School Council for
the 2014-2015 year was held September 10. Co -Chairs are Jordana Shular and
Amanda Moffat. Secretary is Cheryl Johnston. They will meet the first Wednesday
