for World Peace
Day throughout
the township.
This is an art
installation project
started in 2005.
Each pinwheel
is a work of art
containing personal
messages and
thoughts on peace
and will appear
on September 19.

POLICE BRIEFS
CHAINSAWS STOLEN
Huron County Ontario Provincial Police
(OPP) officers are investigating the
overnight theft of two chainsaws sto-
len from the back of an insecure pickup
truck that was parked on Nile Road.
The chainsaws were stolen some-
time overnight on September 7, 2014.
The chainsaws are both orange and
white Stihl brand, two stroke gas pow-
ered engines. One is a model MS441
valued at $1200 and the other is a
model 0-34 valued at $1,000.
Any person with information regard-
ing this incident should immedi-
ately contact Huron OPP at 1-888-
310-1122 or (519) 524-8314.

where you may be eligible to receive
a cash reward of up to $2,000.
TWO INJURED IN
HIGHWAY CRASH
On September 10, 2014 at 11:01 am, the
South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police
(OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle
crash at the intersection of Highway 21
and Bruce County Road 6 in Huron Town-
ship. Officers arrived to find a Black
Toyota Matrix was stopped in the south
bound lane waiting to turn when it was
struck by a south bound Silver Chevrolet
Cavalier. The driver of the Cavalier, a 24
year old male of Huron -Kinloss Township,
was charged with careless driving. Two
people were taken to hospital for assess-
ment of non -life threatening injuries.
