Although it threatened rain, there was a large turnout and the weather held for the barbe- cue and social time. Barrie Johston pointed out that the school closed in 1968 "so you have to be 62 to be here". The reunion is held every 2 years. Attendance has his- torically been between 130 to 170 people. There will not be a reunion the year of the Lucknow Homecoming as former students and their families are encouraged to attend the festivities for the town. There were some key peo- ple recognized throughout the day. Marion Zinn was the oldest graduate in attendance, having com- pleted this achievement in 1942. She is one of the few families that had 3 genera- tions who graduated from Lucknow High School. Zinn's grandmother and mother were also graduates. When Zinn completed her education the school had become a continuation school with the 5th year being completed in Wing - ham. She would like to appeal to other families to discover how many others have this 3 -generation of gaduates status as she is the co-ordinator of the Kinloss History, having lived in Kin- loss, West Ashfield, East Ashfield, West Wawanosh and is now back in Lucknow. Bob Lyons was the oldest male student present at age 84. He attended Lucknow High School from 1944-46. The children of Ezra and Lula Stanley took the hon- ours of having the most sib- lings that were students in attendance, with 4 brothers and 2 sisters present. Bev started in 1950, Doug and Floyd in 1954, Len in 1956, Art in 1960 and Sheri in 1962. Warren Zinn was recog- nized celebrating his 89th birthday on the day of the reunion. Like many in his era, Warren did not attend the High School. Often work or family responsibilities had to take precedence over education. It was announced that the next reunion will be held at the same location. All who are former students and their families are encour- aged to attend. As with any peer group, you never know who will not be at future gatherings, making it even more important to take the opportunities as they are presented. • Big brother Owen along with parents Eric & Jaclyn Miltenburg announce the arrival of their little girl, • Brie Jacklin Miltenburg on July 3, 2014 •. at 8:24am, 8I613oz and 22.5" long. °.
