Tuesday's Table was begun in Luc -
know approximately 7 years ago by
Joanne Todd, at that time the lay
reader and music director at St.
Peter's Anglican Church. On Tuesday,
October 14, 2014 a full Thanksgiving
turkey dinner was served to the
attendees in St. Peter's Parish Hall.
The program was created to assist
people who are struggling to get by.
It has been extended to those in the
community who often dine alone
and then further to those who wish
to have a social evening with mem-
bers in the community. The cost is a
$2 donation for those who can
afford it, otherwise it is free.
There are currently 3 Lucknow
churches who take turns providing
Tuesday's Table in their respective
buildings including St. Peter's Angli-
can, Lucknow United and Lucknow
Community Christian Reformed
Church. Each church that partici-
pates supplies the meal and does all
preparation and serving on their
designated week. Tuesday's Table is
held on the second, third and fourth
Tuesday of the month for most of
the year.
On December 9 the 3 churches
will join together to prepare and
serve the one December meal, a
large Christmas dinner, at the
United Church.
As of December 31, 2014 the St.
Peter's Anglican Church will be
deconsecrated and will no longer
hold services or any of the programs
offered now. It is hoped that per-
haps another Lucknow church will
step up and join the Tuesday's Table
program to fill this gap.

Another year has started at Brook-
side Public school. A couple weeks
after school started, we kicked off the
year with senior soccer. We practiced
just about every day and soon enough
it was the tournament. Both the boys
and the girls played five games each
and had an awesome day.
Another activity that we did was the
Terry Fox Run, we watched a video and
then went for a nice long run around
our school.
On October 8th it was the regional
Cross Country meet that was hosted
at our school! We were excited
because it is a big event and we had 5
schools here. It was a little cool here
and there were some strong winds but
overall the day went well and we had
a great day.
We're off to a great start here at
Brookside school. Enjoy the nice fall
weather everyone.
