Lucknow & District Kinsmen Help WDH
Foundation Reach Radiothon Goal
Submitted
On November 12, 2014 Conor
McDonagh of the Lucknow & District
Kinsmen visited the Wingham & Dis-
trict Hospital to present the Hospital
Foundation with a generous donation
of $10,000. The donation comes from
the proceeds of the Kinsmen's annual
fundraising events, such as the Dun-
gannon Tractor Pull and the sold out
Music in the Fields festival which took
place in August.
The $10,000 donated to the Wingham
& District Hospital Foundation fulfils
the pledge made by the Kinsmen dur-
ing the CKNX Healthcare Heroes Radi-
othon on October 18th and has been
put towards the Foundation's goal of
raising $93,000 for the purchase of a
cardiac ultrasound machine. In the
weeks that have passed since the Radi-
othon, the WDH Foundation's Radio-
thon campaign has surpassed the tar-
geted $93,000 and the Kinsmen
donation made a big difference in the
Foundation's ability to achieve that
goal. The Goderich and Kincardine
Hospitals also received support
towards their Radiothon goals and, in a
new move, the Kinsmen made an addi-
tional contribution of $10,000 to the
Wingham and Area Healthcare Profes-
sionals Recruitment Committee.
The Wingham & District Hospital
Foundation congratulate the Kinsmen
on the continued success of their fund-
raising efforts and send a heartfelt
thank you to all the members of the
club for their loyal commitment to local
healthcare.
