Lucknow Presbyterian Church "A Touch of Christmas" Valerie Gillies Editor, Lucknow Sentinel The Lucknow Presbyte- rian Church was busy serv- ing a luncheon during "A Touch of Christmas" Craft and Bake Sale on Novem- ber 8, 2014. Vendors lined the walls while diners enjoyed a social time over home cooked treats. National Novel Writing Month Lucknow Library News Valerie Gillies Editor, Lucknow Sentinel November is National Novel Writing Month. To celebrate this, Karen McGu- gan has set up a community novel writing project at the Lucknow Library. Anyone who visits the library within the month, right up to November 30, is invited to add a sentence or two to the emerging novel available on the service counter. There is already a very good start to the story as an entire page was filled by Thursday of last week, well before closing time. To participate, first read what others have already written, then use your own creative imagination to take the story further. You can add sentences as many times as you like throughout the month. Nobody signs their name, making this a true community project as the resulting story will be a com- pilation of everyone's contri- butions, a novel by Lucknow. McGugan states, "It will be very interesting at the end of the month to see where it has gone." Depending on length, the completed novel will be printed in the Senti- nel in installments. All are invited to come in and make their mark.
