The 2nd Annual Great Radiothon Race raises $8,500 for the Wingham Hospital
Thirteen teams of two
competed in the 2nd Annual
Great Radiothon Race on
Saturday, October 18, 2014.
They all crossed the finish
line in under an hour and a
half, well chilled but in good
spirits after racing through
five challenges.
The Great Radiothon Race
is an Amazing Race -type
event that the WDH Founda-
tion has run in conjunction
with the annual Healthcare
Heroes Radiothon for the
past two years. This year's
challenges had teams run-
ning up and down a hill fill-
ing buckets with only a
sponge, searching blind-
folded for puzzles pieces
which they then had to con-
struct, identifying varieties of
unmarked baby food, com-
pleting an elaborate obstacle
course set up by the North
Huron Recreation Depart-
ment which included rolling
a tractor tire and crossing a
water tank on a thin wooden
plank, and eating real crick-
ets and larvae.

rewarded for their efforts by
being allowed to select
another team to delay by one
