Packed House at Lucknow UCW Luncheon
Valerie Gillies
It may have been windy
and chilly outside, but there
were plenty of warm smiles
in the Lucknow United
Church during their Bazaar,
Bake Sale and Luncheon on
November 1, 2014.
Craft and bake sale ven-
dors bordered the busy
tables where a steady stream
of people enjoyed a delicious
luncheon. At times it
became difficult to even
move through the room as
the crowd enjoyed the
offerings.
A second room held more
crafts and delectable treats
as well as the draw table
where sale -goers could enter
in a free draw for door prizes
or purchase tickets to try to
win a beautiful baby quilt.
This was a wonderful oppor-
tunity to get a jump on
Christmas shopping as many
decorations and gift items
carried this theme.
