The lobby of Brookside Public School was
filled with a raffle table and bake table on May
8, 2014 for Ladies Night Out. The auditorium
was lined on all walls and a double row down
the centre of vendor tables with all sorts of
things of interest to women of all ages and
lifestyles.
Denise Angst is the School Council Chair.
Heidi McNeil, organizer of the event, tends her booth at Brookside Public
School's Ladies Night Out on May 8,2014.
She was busy at the bake table where you
could purchase individual treats or batches to
take home. From this station she was also
keeping an eye on the raffle table.
Heidi McNeil was the organizer for this
event. The School Council holds many fund-
raisers throughout the year. Members take
turns organizing the various events and this is
the one that McNeil had chosen as hers. She
also had her own booth in the gym where she
was being assisted by her husband, Calvin
McNeil. When asked what Calvin did he just
smiled and said, "I'm just the extra set of
hands and legs."

A very popular station was the nail spa
where very creative colours and patterns were
applied to attendee's nails as a free gift by the
vendor. Specialty tea tasting, as well as other
taste treats were also crowd favourites. Many
household products and helpers were availa-
ble as well as children's books and items.
Congratulations to all of the volunteers and
participants who put together an impressive
selection of services and wares for the benefit
of the ladies who showed up to browse, inter-
act and enjoy this event especially designed
for them. A very fitting lead up to Mother's
Day.
