Music in the Fields Artist Profile
The River
Junction Band
Submitted
The River Junction Band
(RJB) will be playing at Luc-
know's Music in the Fields
Main Stage from 2:45-3:45
p.m. on Saturday, August 23,
2014.
Forget the country band
stereotypes: The best way to
describe a River Junction
Band performance, is pro-
gressive, aggressive, rockin'
country at its best. Boasting
solid four part male and
female harmonies, and
drawing on influences as
diverse as Johnny Cash,
Loretta Lynn, AC/DC & The
Rolling Stones. The result is
country music with a defi-
nite edge. Coming off their
win for "Country Group of
the Year" at the LMA, and
Nomination for "Country
Group of the Year" at the
CMAO's... the band contin-
ues to be in demand to
bring its high-energy show
to appreciative audiences
and a growing fan base.
They do this by maintaining
a very busy performing
schedule in the club and
festival circuit.
RJB was the "House Band"
for the 4th year! At Music In
the Fields In Lucknow Ont.
Aug. 23 & 24th, 2013!!
With its busy schedule, it's
wondered how the band
found time to record a debut
EP at EMAC Recording stu-
dios in London Ontario. The
effort was produced by Rob-
ert Nation, and it garnered
airplay at numerous stations
in Canada and the United
States. On -air interviews fol-
lowed, and the EP sold
briskly at RJB shows and on
1 -Tunes. RIB is getting ready
to release their new single
near the end of July. The
band has just finished their
very first music video
recorded and produced by
Replay Media in Toronto
Ontario.
The River Junction Band is
honoured in being perenni-
ally nominated, and winning
in 2008, and 2013 the award
for "Country Group of the
Year" at the London Music
Awards. Nominated at the
first ever CMAO Awards for
"Group or Duo of the Year".
They were
also finalists in the "Best
Live" category, and won,
"Best Country" act at the
2010 Toronto Independent
Music Awards. Although the
most rewarding moments
for the band are when they
are on stage getting the audi-
ence rockin, and creating
new fans along the way.

This book is the 3rd in a series of books
that I have compiled. This book contains
about 120 thoughtful readings that I have collected
over the years. Some are over 80 years old. All of the
readings have a message and many are true stories.
There are also readings relating to seniors and many
humorous comments. I hope you enjoy reading this
book as much as I have enjoyed compiling it.
The cost of this book is $25.00.
The books can be purchased at Mayfair
Training in Lucknow or by contacting
Frank Alton at 519-528-2771.
