We wish you many more Phemie. Congratulations also to the Dungan- non Women's Institute who celebrated their 100th anniversary last month. It's good to see such enduring organiza- tions still going strong after so many years. This past Sunday, Trinity United Church celebrated their 148th anni- versary with a special guest speaker and special music by the Kingsbridge Choir. It was great to see the good news story about Gerry and Sherry Schuit in last week's paper, and even greater that Gerry is doing so well. This past weekend the Lucknow Legion held their annual Veteran's Appreciation Dinner. The Legion does a great job in thanking all Veterans, sur- viving spouses, and war brides for all they have contributed to Canada in times of war and peace. Last evening, Trinity United held their annual garden party at the Lucknow Community Centre . They always have a good turn out for it seems like a cast of thousands for all the goodies on offer. It appears that we have a provincial election coming up soon, if the signs along the highway weren't a hint, all the talk on the airwaves about it should have been a good clue. What- ever your politics, take the time to get out and vote. It's a civic duty and all should be concerned about who is elected to represent your views at Queen's Park. Remember, if you don't vote, you can't complain about who- ever wins the election. Sympathy of the community to the families of: Mary Black, 91, Lucknow (for- merly Ripley); Mary Ballagh, 93, Listowel (formerly Culross Twp.); and, Simonne Dixon, 94, Lucknow (formerly Chapleau).
