Step into Moffitness at the Lucknow
arena complex, and you'll see different
machines and equipment. Don't feel
intimated because owners Amanda and
Ean Moffat, of Lucknow, are there to
help you succeed with your goals, pro-
vide you with fun activities, and promote
the healthiest you.
"We want to be really involved with
everyone who is part of the gym because
the thing that I find, even for me when I
started, when you come into the gym
you look around and you think `where
do I start?' The big thing is, we want to
make sure that everyone that comes in
feels really comfortable and confident
with the equipment," said Amanda Mof-
fat, who is a certified fitness instructor
through CanFit Pro and is working her
way to being a nutritional weight loss
certification. "We want our clients to feel
successful. We just don't want them to
come in here, get started and drift off. So,
I really want to help people. When you
come in, I want to know what your goal
is and what it will be."
Clients will get an orientation to get
them started.
The Moffats believe that in order to
lead the kids of today, the role models
need to set a good example.
"We're all role models in this commu-
nity to our youth and that is one thing I
can't stress enough," she said. "There's
an endless amount of benefits to being
physically active, from keeping your
mobility to being able to run around and
play with your kids. It helps to alleviate
stress. It helps with weight loss and self-
confidence and self-esteem. The bene-
fits to being physically active are
endless."
