We went higher than what the actual price was when we started into the process. Knowing the costs went up. Already during the last couple years, we're up to 90 cents." He said natural gas is important for the area, just as impor- tant as nuclear. "If it's the last thing I ever do, we need natural gas in this area for us," he said. "We've got families who are choosing whether to pay their taxes or pay their heat to keep their houses warm, and to me, that's why we have to do this. We have to find a way:' Huron -Kinloss is still involved in the process by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, involving the decisions of where a nuclear repository should be placed. Huron -Kinloss, which would hold Canada's used nuclear fuel. Twolan said the decision of the repository coming to the area, will be up to the residents. "We're a small municipality, getting involved in a big issue process," he said.
