HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Lucknow Sentinel, 2014-08-13, Page 13Huron - Kinioss •ri - Employment Opportunity The Township of Huron -Kinloss is recruiting an experienced person for the position of By -Law Enforcement Officer for a one year maternity leave contract position — 25 to 30 hours per week. The By -Law Enforcement Officer is responsible for patrols, inspections, and enforcement of Township By -Laws, including but not limited to animal control/kennel licencing, noise, parking, lot maintenance, ATV, Public Lands Act, lawn watering, licences and other regulations. Applicants must possess: • Valid Class 'G' Driver's Licence in good standing and reliable vehicle for response • Ability to work outside normal schedule (evenings/weekends) to respond to pager calls • Good computer knowledge using Microsoft products • Excellent skills in verbal communication, problem solving, and time management • Ability to work effectively with the public and demonstrated tact and discretion in handling confidential matters. • Able to write clear, concise letters and reports • Ability to read and interpret legislation and by-laws Post -Secondary Diploma in Law and Enforcement or related field and/or Part 1 of the Municipal Law Enforcement Officers' Association (MLEOA) course or equivalent will be considered an asset.
