Employment Opportunity
The Township of Huron -Kinloss is recruiting an experienced person for the
position of By -Law Enforcement Officer for a one year maternity leave
contract position — 25 to 30 hours per week. The By -Law Enforcement
Officer is responsible for patrols, inspections, and enforcement of Township
By -Laws, including but not limited to animal control/kennel licencing, noise,
parking, lot maintenance, ATV, Public Lands Act, lawn watering, licences and
other regulations.
Applicants must possess:
• Valid Class 'G' Driver's Licence in good standing and reliable vehicle for response
• Ability to work outside normal schedule (evenings/weekends) to respond to pager calls
• Good computer knowledge using Microsoft products
• Excellent skills in verbal communication, problem solving, and time management
• Ability to work effectively with the public and demonstrated tact and discretion in
handling confidential matters.
• Able to write clear, concise letters and reports
• Ability to read and interpret legislation and by-laws
Post -Secondary Diploma in Law and Enforcement or related field and/or Part 1 of the
Municipal Law Enforcement Officers' Association (MLEOA) course or equivalent will be
considered an asset.

NOTICE OF PLANNING MEETING
TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act, 2001, Section
238 (2) and By -Law 2012-20 of the Township of Huron -Kinloss every municipality and
local board shall pass a procedural by-law for governing the calling, place and
proceedings of meetings,
AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT it is the intention of the Council of the Township
of Huron -Kinloss to hold a Special Council meeting to consider the Natural Gas
Project as follows:
Special Council Meeting Monday August 25th, 2014 at 4:00 p.m.
The meeting will immediately move into a Closed Session for the purpose of advice
that is subject to solicitor -client privilege, including communications necessary for
that purpose; pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended.
AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT it is the intention of the Council of the Township
of Huron -Kinloss to hold an additional Planning Meeting to consider applications:
Planning Meeting Monday August 25th, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.
All meetings are held in the Township of Huron -Kinloss Council Chambers,
21 Queen Street Ripley, Ontario.
