This past weekend was of course
Easter and many in the area attended
church services around the area.
St. Peter's held a Maundy Day pot luck
supper and service on Thursday night
and then attended a Good Friday serv-
ice at their sister church, St. John's in
Brussels. Lucknow Presbyterian Church
also held a Maundy Thursday service
and they and Lucknow Community
CRC held Good Friday services. All
churches in Lucknow held special
Easter Sunday services.
Congratulations to Betty and Barry
Jones on their 50th wedding anniversary
celebrations, we wish you many more.
Last Saturday the Lucknow Chamber
of Commerce and Lucknow Kinettes
held their annual Easter Egg hunt for the
children. By all accounts, everyone had
a great time looking for eggs left by the
wildly popular Easter Rabbit. He does a
great job and certainly does get around,
he must be related to Santa Claus.
What was that white stuff that we got
last week? Just when Mother Nature had
convinced us that winter was over, what
did she do? But why go on about it, it's
just her way of telling us that she's still in
charge.
If you have a chance, go see the play
at the Town Hall starting tomorrow
night. The HAWK Theatre group have
outdone themselves. The play, The Per-
ils of Persephone, is a real hoot, you'll
enjoy yourselves.
