Lucknow's Danceology beats out
city groups to take 'Kick It Up'

Lucknow's Danceology beat out 16 studios
from major centres like Toronto, Mississauga,
Hamilton and Whitby to take the 'Kick It Up!
dance competition in Hamilton on the April
April 12 weekend.
The small 34 -member Lucknow group won
the overall top studio scoring 948 out of 1,000,
which was tabulated by adding the high scores
of our Top 10 dances. None of their marks were
lower than 90 out of 100 in total. The studio
won a four -foot trophy and a $2,000 jukebox.
Danceology teacher Courtney Nelson won
top choreographer at the event. Most, if not all,
dances were over 90 out of 100 marks. The
group is under the instruction of head teacher
and studio director Jenna Hart.
A total of five dancers received scholarships
to dance events this year, as far as Los Angeles
and the Mediterranean. The dancers included
Teegan McGavin, Jasmine Goulding, Megan
Erb, Ava McCutcheon and Claire Holmes won
scholarships.
Many dancers got highest score overall in
their discipline.
It was a fantastic weekend.
