Thompson's questions
deflected by Premier
Huron -Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson questioned
Ontario's Premier on documents allegedly
deleted from hard drives that were by former Lib-
eral contract employee Peter Faist during the
April 2 legislative session in Toronto.
"We know you wanted to hide the details of the
gas plant scandal, and that ended up costing tax
payers $1.1 billion", Thomson said. "But who
knows what else was on those hard drives. Pre-
mier, can you tell this house if Mr. Faist, or any-
one else for that matter, deleted other secrets."
Other files Thompson was alluding to include
Ornge secrets, eHealth secrets and even the
secret deal the Liberals entered into with
Samsung.
Premier Kathleen Wynne refused to answer
the question herself, instead referring to Liberal
House Leader John Milloy for a deflection, a
media release from Thompson's office reads.
Addressing the Premier, Thompson continued
"you said earlier, and I paraphrase, you are happy
to debate the truth any day. So Premier, I am ask-
ing you, not the House Leader, can you confirm
today that files related to other scandals like
eHealth and Ornge were not also destroyed?"
Once again, Premier Wynne refused to answer
the question herself.
