'The Perils of Persephone' Starring Tony McQuail, Vivien King -Sherwood, Jessica Nelson, Ben Miltenburg, Jonathan Nelson, Murray Yungblut and Lillian Abbott, in a production directed by Maureen Matchett and produced by Monica Friedrich. Shows run from Apr. 24 to 26 and May 1 to 3 at 7:30 p.m. and May 4 at 2:30 p.m. at the Lucknow Town Hall Theatre, which now has an elevator and comfy seats. Lucknow drug raid reveals grow op, various drugs A 50 -year-old man and 18 -year-old woman are charged with a long list of drug offenses after a massive police effort conducted a raid on a Campbell St. property in Lucknow on Wednesday April 2, 2014. A Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was executed by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau - Drug Enforcement Unit, along- side the Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, West Region Canine Unit, Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit, South Bruce OPP and South Bruce Crime Unit all took part in the operation. Police said the search revealed the presence of an indoor marihuana grow operation and officers seized marijuana plants, processed marijuana, cannabis resin (hashish). Other drugs that were received included the prescription painkiller pills, oxycodone (an addictive opiate), hydromor- phone pills (a morphine derivative), and the street drug methamphetamine (meth). The combined estimated value of the seized drugs was $1,566, according to police. Police said they also seized "offence related property" that consisted of marijuana production equipment and traf- ficking paraphernalia with an estimated value of $1,500. The Huron -Kinloss man, 50, was arrested and charged with production of marijuana, possession of marijuana for the purposes of trafficking, possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking, possession of hydromorphone, possession of cannabis resin, and failing to comply with conditions of a probation order. The Huron -Kinloss woman, 18, was arrested and charged with the same offences as the man, as well as an additional count of failing to comply with conditions of a recognizance. Both subjects were held in custody pending the result of their bail hearings.
