Lucknow Legends
wrap up season
in second
The Lucknow Legends Sr B
Women's hockey team ended
the 2014 regular season in
second place, with a 2-1 win
over Milverton.
They started their playoff run
on Feb. 22 against Stratford
aces to defend their SOWHL
league championship from
2013 in a two -out -of -three
four -point series.
Game one was held in
Lucknow on Feb 22 with
Lucknow leading the way for
two periods .
Stratford managed to score
with 4 mins remaining and held
on for a 4-3 win. Terry Allen
played in net for the Legends
Lucknow.
Goals came from Missy Kuik
(2) and Nadine Vandenhuvel (1).
Holly Gibson with two assists
and Justine Hart with one.
March 1 Lucknow traveled to
Stratford and outshot Stratford
in a fast paced match but
could not beat the Stratford
netminder. Jackie Henderson
played in net.
The Legends appreciate all
of the fan and sponsor support
again this season and look
forward to next year.
