—Mr. Wm. Doubledee was stricken
with paralysis while attending the Sal-
vation Army meeting on Sunday after-
noon. He was removed to his home
and it is feared he will not recover.
--The five year old son of Mr. Chas,
G. Campbell, of the first line of Morris,
fell out of an apple tree one day last
week and broke one of his arms. The
little fellow will have a few weeks of
not pleasant holidays.
We cannot out prices on furniture

—The 0: P. R. one o'clock train was
one hour and a half late on Tuesday.
A snow -plough being conveyed from
Walkerton to Toronto jumped the track
near Mono Road and dug up the road-
bed, causing a delay in all trains.
—The regular meeting of Oourt Mait-
land, Canadian Foresters, will be held
en Friday evening of this week. Ad.

given and refreshments will, be Served.
All members of the order are invited
to attend this meeting.
—One rink of Wingham bowlers,
composed of Meagre. Bert Porter, A. E.
S ltnith, Chas. Knechtel and D. T. Hep-

Mount Forest this week. At time of

Mrs, John Oonery and son, Alfred
Oonery, of Guelph, are visiting at
Sunnyside farm, Bluevale rood, for a
few weeks.
Mr. Noble Young bas accepted a good
position in the Malcolm furniture fac-
tory at }Kincardine and left for the lake
town last week.
Mr. John McNevin was in London
this week attending the annual westing',
of the Ontario West High Court of the
Independent Foresters.
Miss Annie and Master Richard
Cochril, of London were visiting for a
few days with Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
Maxwell, Blnevale road.
Mr. and Mrs. John Tariff have re-
turned to town from Southampton, and
will take up residence in their home,
corner John and Frances streets.
Rev. D. and Mrs. Petrie and children
returned home on Tuesday after spend-
ing six weeks at their summer cottage
on the lake shore near Pine River.
Miss Mabel Howson, who has been
visiting friends in England during the
last three months, reached home in
Wingham, on Saturday evening Last.
